College Basketball is Heating Up

When some parts of the South woke up to as much as six inches of snow earlier this week, many had to do a double-take at the calendar to confirm what college basketball fans already knew — it’s March, and there’s a reason they call it March Madness. In the ACC, after an embarrassing loss against Duke, the Maryland Terrapins have perched themselves squarely on the bubble with a huge overtime victory over UNC. While those Tar Heels keep battling it out for a #1 seed in the ACC Tournament and Big Dance, teams like Clemson, Boston College, and even Duke are trying to avoid the late-season collapses that have become an all-too-common occurrence in recent years. March Madness is definitely in full swing, and there’s tension from top to bottom in the ACC. It’s so thick you can cut it with a knife, and that’s exactly what makes this time of the year so exciting. But who’s walking away with the hardware in this year?
